Make sure the seal features the official CannVerify hologram.
Check for any signs of the tamper evident pattern on the package or seal itself.
Make sure the seal isn't broken and that the package hasn't been tampered with. Examine all edges closely and make sure the package hasn't been opened from any other side. Crooked or jagged edges might be a sign the package has been cut open before. Visible traces of glue, especially applied in an uneven fashion, might be a sign that the package was resealed. If possible, compare packaging with an authentic product.
Make sure the scratch off section isn't scratched and that the verification code isn't revealed.
Pay attention to the number of times the serial has been verified. A serial should typically only be verified once. A high verification count could mean that the product is fake.
